Our Home Town
The current Barrington Band is comprised of approximately 35 members,
ranging in age from pre-teens to 80+. Much of the music we perform is patriotic, including
marches and medleys, as well as Big Band numbers,
Broadway-style show selections and seasonal compositions. The Band has a rich
history as well as an interesting past. Some of the most notable highlights are:
The Band has performed in 17 Mummers' parades.
The Band performed for the inauguration of New Jersey Governor Harold Hoffman.
The Band provided entertainment on the train to the shore, then on Wildwood Boardwalk
(before the wide-spread use of cars).
The Band currently performs an annual concert at the gazebo in Cape May, New Jersey.
As a community band, we have the reputation of being entertaining, fun
to listen to, as well as having excellent musicianship. Please check out the other pages
on this website for further information about us, our history and our repertiore. If you
have any questions, feel free to contact us.
